Installation

• Mount the occupancy sensor to the front

of the EM 1 with provided lock nut.

• Place the 1/2” chase nipple through the

washer and oval hole on the back of the

EM 1 and secure with a lock nut to a

knockout at the end of the ﬁ xture.

• Run sensor wires through the EM 1 and

terminate in the ﬁ xture.

• Place front and back covers on the EM 1.

Example of the EM 1 used to mount the HBS 300 high

bay occupancy sensor to a ﬁ xture. Here, the knockout at

the end of the ﬁ xture is located greater than 1/2” from

the bottom edge of the ﬁ xture.

Product Description

The EM 1 Extender Module is used with

STEINEL high bay occupancy sensors. It

is recommended if the knockout at the end

of the ﬁ xture is located greater than 1/2”

from the bottom edge of the ﬁ xture.
